An eye magnified like no one has ever seen it
Every person’s iris holds a pattern of fibres and colours that normally stays hidden. Iris Photography is a mobile macro photography studio that brings those details out. In the photo, the eye looks like a nebula from an astronomy atlas. It is one of our photo systems; the rest of our offer is in the attractions catalogue.
The photo itself takes about 45 seconds. The photographer takes the shot, a graphic designer edits it on site and the printer produces the finished print. It is a great fit for galas, weddings and corporate events where every guest should get something personal.

What our studio can do

Macro detail
Specialist lighting and a macro lens bring out the finest fibres and pigments of the iris.

That is how long a photo takes
The guest sits down, looks into the lens and moments later sees their eye on the monitor. Without touching the eye.

Questions and technical requirements
Can't find the answer? Ask via the form – we'll reply within 24 h.
How long does one photo take?
About 45 seconds. Moments later the guest collects the finished print, and the next person can sit down at the station.
How much space does the iris photography station need?
About 2 × 2 m or 3 × 2 m. This fits a table (we often bring our own) and two chairs.
What power supply is needed?
An ordinary 230 V socket near the station is enough. Power consumption is moderate – we run a computer, a printer and lighting.
How long does it take to set up the station?
About 45–60 minutes. During this time we set up and calibrate the equipment.
Does the room lighting matter?
Yes. The best photos come out in a slightly dimmed space, because then there are no reflections in the eye. We avoid direct sunlight.
